Together, we can save the planet. Start today.
Sometimes just reading what a creative design company can do for you is just not enough. You have other questions, ones that you need answers to. Though the answers to the questions below may not be an exhaustive list, we hope that this list will supply you with more information about how we work. If you have more questions, just let us know! Thanks for learning more about us.
What are your fees?
Normally, we quote by the project or by the hour depending on the creative service you need. There are no fixed rates that apply to all circumstances. We do require 50% deposit prior to work beginning and the remaining 50% upon project completion.
How do I contact you?
If you would like an estimate or have any general inquires, simply contact us in any of the ways available on our contact us web page.
I’d like a specific quote.
You can either contact us via phone, or on our contact us web form. Once we receive communication from you, we will contact you to find out the specifics of your project.
Can I see some layouts before I pay the deposit?
No. Unless you’re ready to pay for our time, we cannot take you seriously. There is a non-refundable deposit required for all design projects that represents a fee for conceptual development. If you’re a startup and need a payment plan we can arrange for that based on project details, deposit and credit references.
What do I need to provide in order to get a price estimate to complete my project?
In order to provide you with the most accurate pricing possible, we require the following information:
- Your name
- Your company name
- Methods of contact Email, phone, fax, mobile, mailing/billing address
- Description of Project: Do you desire a website, brochure, logo, branding package, etc.
- Contents description: What type of content will you be providing?
- Completion Time: When do you need the project completed?
Do you offer special pricing for non-profits?
Yes. We offer special pricing arrangements for start-ups and non-profit organizations.
How do we proceed?
If we choose to hire you, how do we proceed?
A Work Order will be sent to you via email that will outline the specifics for the project. Once you have had a chance to review it and if you agree, a representative from your company will need to sign the agreement and send back a signed copy along with the requested deposit (please let us know how you would like to send payment ~ check, PayPal, Credit Card, Cash). The Work Order Agreement can be snail mailed or emailed back to us.
Once the signed Work Order Agreement and deposit is received along with the requested materials from you your project can proceed.
Can we have a face to face meeting?
Typically, we try to handle the majority of the projects we work on by phone. Sometimes (but rarely), we need to have a face to face meeting. For most projects we handle business virtually, which means we’re able to keep the cost of your project as low as possible.
OK, we’re ready to go, what is the design process?
In the Beginning
Once you have decided to work with us, we begin to work with you to develop a creative brief that will define the project steps and overall look and feel of your design. As we begin our research, some of the things we examine are design and technology trends, color palettes, site navigation’s, interactivity, and your competitor.
Getting it down
Once our research is completed, we formulate all ideas to develop a compelling story for your design concept and communicate our findings with you.
Next, we use technology
Moving the developed design concept to computer, we produce the agreed upon graphical proofs for your review and provide them to you in PDF format. Once you have selected your favorite design concept, it is developed even further.
The agreed upon revisions are then made to your chosen concept and made ready for your final review. Note: revisions out of scope will incur additional charges.
The End Result
The finishing touches are added to the final concept and the design process is completed.
If I don’t like the designs you have created and I do not wish to continue working with you, am I obliged to pay you anything?
If you don’t feel that our designs are appropriate for your project, then we would request written confirmation that you do not wish to continue working with us, and we will part ways on good terms. The designs that have been created remain the exclusive property of A Creative Mind and you are not permitted to use them in any way without our permission. All monies paid to that point are non-refundable.
I like the designs you’ve shown me, what’s next?
Once we have sent over the agreed upon concepts, we will ask you to select one design that you would like to have represent your company. If changes need to be made, we will make them and talk about the design process from there. If none of the designs appeal to you, then you are free to purchase more design time to create more concepts. A 50% deposit will be required for the new design time you will be purchasing.
If I don’t like the finished design, what can we do?
If this is the case – (which is highly unlikely since the design you will receive is based on the designed you have approved), there are options available to you. Depending on what you have purchased, you will have the option to request a set amount of ‘minor’ changes to the design, free of charge. If the design requires more than minor changes, you can purchase more design time.
The Final Product
The design is great and we love it, what’s next?
Once you have approved the design and it has been finalized, we will issue our final invoice. Once the invoice is settled we will provide you with the project files in various formats.
Who owns the rights to the design?
You retain full rights to the final design for the agreed project. We retain full rights to all of the rejected/unused designs, and full rights to use the design for our own promotional use.
Can you help me with printing?
Yes, we have several printers that we work with to help get your projects printed.
Can you provide the final design to my printer/service provider?
No problem. If you have a printer you would like to use, please provide us with the details prior to your project being finalized. This way we can find out the print specifications they require.
My printer is having problems with your design.
Please provide the printer with our e-mail address/phone number and us with theirs and we will attempt to resolve the problem.
